Mobile mechanic, based in Wareham. Over 40 years in the trade.
I've spent my working life with cars — over 40 years of them. These days I do it from a fully equipped van across Wareham, the Isle of Purbeck and the surrounding towns, fixing cars where they sit: on driveways, outside workplaces, wherever the problem happened.
The way I work is simple. I tell you what's wrong in ordinary words, and where I can, I put the broken part in your hand so you can see it for yourself. If something can wait, I'll say so. If something isn't worth fixing, I'll say that too.
The one about the breakdown service
I could describe how I work, but a customer already did it better:
Been waiting since yesterday for RAC the come out and help me with my car. They eventually turned up at half 8 this morning. Plugged my car in to his laptop. Didn't even lift the bonnet. His news wasn't great. I then called Darren Lee Automove. He came out to me and resolved the problem by the time I made him a cup of tea. I really recommend Darren Lee Automotive for any work needed. The van
People picture a mobile mechanic as a bloke with a toolbox. Have a look inside the van: racking, vice, press, lifting gear, diagnostic kit and the consumables to finish jobs on the spot. It's a workshop that happens to park outside your house.
